Life is a mirror

We face so many people every day,

There is only one I ask "today are you okay".

From all I do hide what I feel inside,

It’s only from you I can never hide.

I think for myself without you it’s not possible to know me,

Where only truth you could see.

With my own eyes I hate to look,
flaws and all the hidden truth.

You may be placed on the wall,
but it’s only you my true self you can call.

“Believe in yourself” is what I feel when I stare,

The reflection I see is that hidden glare.

With action to you I may speak,

You show me that in my own way I’m unique.

Between us the truth I knew,

Life is a mirror; you don't smile until I do.
